The standard for a good chair keeps evolving
Feedback from more than three million users made the next steps clear. SIDIZ examined what people needed, and what still felt unresolved, through every moment spent in the chair.

T50 2nd generation was developed from real-world feedback gathered across more than three million T50 users. SIDIZ analysed long-term reviews and refined the details that shape lasting comfort, from lumbar support and the headrest to the armrests and removable seat.
The result preserves the original T50 identity while reducing unwanted play and creating a more stable, personally fitted sitting experience.
Custom mechanism fitting, refined through real use. A supportive fabric bowl seat works with the T50 S-curve backrest, wider lumbar pad, 310 mm mesh headrest and higher 4D armrests to respond more closely to different bodies and working postures.
Feedback from more than three million users made the next steps clear. SIDIZ examined what people needed, and what still felt unresolved, through every moment spent in the chair.
T50 became part of daily life in offices, home offices and studies, helping reshape expectations for Korean task seating.
Rather than relying on the model's reputation, SIDIZ analysed years of review data to identify small but repeated sources of discomfort.
The lumbar feel, headrest shape and range, low armrest position and fabric seat serviceability were refined to create a more assured sitting experience.
A precise mechanism reduces downward drift and unwanted play while reclining, supporting consistent comfort through long periods of sitting.
A support area about 1.5 times wider than before spreads pressure rather than concentrating it. Flexible material follows the body's contours.
Adjust the support through 50 mm of height and 10 mm of depth to find the position that fits the lower back.
A wider support surface keeps comfort continuous wherever the head rests.
Breathable mesh releases heat while the broad surface supports the neck and head through changing postures.
The wider surface keeps contact as the head turns or rests at an angle.
Tune the headrest through 55 mm of height and 55 degrees of angle for focused or relaxed postures.
Support from elbow to wrist reduces load through the shoulders across different bodies and working postures.
The armrests begin 25 mm higher than before, helping more body types keep elbows supported and shoulders relaxed.
Adjust 60 mm in height, 30 mm fore and aft, 20 degrees in angle and 10 mm in width to support the arms through different tasks.
The inward-falling edge helps prevent pressure on the forearm as posture changes.
The T50 heritage is shaped around natural spinal and pelvic curves. It reduces localised pressure as posture changes through long sessions of work and concentration.
The backrest follows the spine's natural S-curve to help maintain a balanced posture without loading the lumbar region unnecessarily.
A scooped form steadies the pelvis. High-compression moulded foam provides a supportive, resilient sitting feel without hard pressure points through long sessions.
The chair's central movement mechanism lets the body change position naturally instead of remaining fixed. Recline range and resistance can both be tuned to the body and task.
The backrest and seat move at coordinated but different angles to keep the lower back and pelvis supported.
Set the available travel from 105 to 130 degrees, from upright focus to relaxed rest.
Use 23 turns of the lever's adjustment range to tune how firmly the backrest moves for the sitter's build and preference.
The fabric cover can be removed and machine washed, making the seat easier to keep fresh through long-term daily use.
Swap between a fabric and mesh seat as preferences or seasons change. The simple release structure is designed for owner replacement.
Softer urethane contact reduces rolling noise and helps protect floor surfaces from scratches.
See how customer feedback shaped the T50's headrest, lumbar support and armrests for everyday work.
Our working environments and practices constantly evolved, but the standard of office seating remained unchanged for years.
In two thousand and seven, a different chair arrived.
Ergonomic design, practical features and breathable mesh came together in one chair, balancing function with form: the T50.
Our expertise began in nineteen ninety-eight, at Korea's first chair research lab.
From planning and design to manufacturing, we brought the whole process together, helping shape the modern office chair.
The T50 went on to earn recognition for its engineering and design through awards in Korea and overseas, helping change expectations in its home market.
Over three million T50 chairs, across around seventy countries.
In offices, homes, on screen and in public spaces, the T50 became part of everyday life.
But we kept researching and developing better chairs.
Feedback from people around the world helped us rethink what a better chair could be.
Meet the new T50 second generation, a completely redesigned chair.
A wider, more flexible lumbar support adjusts in height and depth, helping you find a position that supports your lower back evenly.
The larger Airflex mesh headrest combines springy support with breathability, giving your head and neck a broader surface to rest against.
Higher armrests adjust in four directions, letting you fine-tune their position to suit your build and posture.
Their softly curved, waterfall shape helps ease pressure on your arms and shoulders.
Together, these refinements help the second-generation T50 support your movements naturally, adapting to your build and the way you sit.
From settling into focused work to leaning back and taking a break, the T50 is designed to provide steady support through every change of posture.
Refined and improved through the voices of its users.
For students, office workers and people working from home, a thoughtfully designed chair for life's everyday moments.
Once again, T50 sets a new standard for a good chair.

A melamine foam cleaning block can help remove marks from the chair frame. Rub gently, as excessive pressure may damage the surface.
Do not throw your body weight suddenly against the backrest. Excessive force while reclining can create a tipping risk.
It retains the T50 S-curve identity while refining the parts most often mentioned in long-term feedback: a wider lumbar pad with less unwanted play, a 310 mm mesh headrest, higher 4D armrests and a removable seat system that can swap between fabric and mesh.
The 290 x 160 mm flexible pad adjusts through 50 mm of height and 10 mm of depth. Its wider contact area spreads pressure, and the support can be moved away when a less prominent lumbar feel is preferred.
Synchronised Tilt moves the seat and backrest at coordinated angles. Five limits set the available recline travel between 105 and 130 degrees, while the lever provides fine tension adjustment.
Choose T50 for a supportive, cushioned bowl-shaped fabric seat with a removable washable cover. Choose T50 AIR for maximum airflow through both the backrest and seat. The second-generation removable seat structure is designed to let owners change between compatible fabric and mesh seats when Australian parts become available.
The armrests adjust 60 mm in height, 30 mm fore and aft, 20 degrees in angle and 10 mm in width. Their higher starting point and waterfall edge help support the forearms while reducing load through the shoulders.
The chair was designed around Easy Repair so serviceable parts can be replaced without discarding the whole chair. Australian availability of headrest, seat, seat-cover and armrest-pad parts will vary; contact SIDIZ Australia before ordering.
